Creating more survivors and enriching their survivorship
Did you know there are about 200,000 ovarian cancer survivors currently living in the United States?
Many turn to NormaLeah as a resource, to connect them with others and to share information. We wish there were more survivors . . . we cherish every ovarian cancer patient and all of their family members.
Support
The most important fact to remember is that a specialist in female reproductive cancers -- a gynecologic oncologist -- will give you the best possible outcome.
Newly Diagnosed
The most important life-saving action you can take is to consult with a gynecologic oncologist, who will give you the greatest chance at survival.
Recurrent Patients
Ovarian cancer is often a chronic disease. Many women recur after their initial treatment presenting new challenges.
For Caregivers
An ovarian cancer diagnosis affects the whole family and can put a tremendous strain on both caregivers and loved ones.
Additional Resources
There are many resources available for information that might be more specific (or not) to your needs at any time during your survivorship.
